Context.
FADI is the oldest law school in the state of Piauí (founded on 03/25/1931), and from it other schools emerged and later joined together, resulting in what we know today as the Federal University of Piauí - UFPI. This legacy makes it represent a legal, intellectual and public memory built over different generations.
Challenge.
Historical institutions frequently face a delicate tension: updating their communication without compromising the pillars that sustain their authority. In this case, the challenge was not only to create a more consistent identity, but to transform nearly a century of history into a language capable of circulating among official documents, academic production, public communication, the digital environment, and university life.
Solution.
Thinking about tradition, nothing is fairer than going back in time and preserving its history through a graphic design of the logo based on its original facade, where it all began. The lines and shapes of its architecture reflect the strength and credibility of the institution, while its symbol can be used in different versions, reinforcing seriousness and experience through serif typography and a solid color system with a direct reference to the legal field.
Result.
The new identity offers FADI a better perception of the institution's value in the eyes of society, rescuing its history through more professional visual applications and maintaining the pillars of quality, sense of community, and excellence in legal academic education, which have been present since its foundation.
