Context.
Mikiki is a beach hotel located in Barra Grande, on the coast of Piauí (Brazil), a region renowned for its natural landscapes, gastronomy, and favorable conditions for kitesurfing. The idea here was to present this new venture as a boutique hospitality experience guided by comfort, well-being, and quality of life. The name represents a tribute in memory of Mikhail Laginski (Mik) and Maria Cristina Freitas (Kiki).
Challenge.
We needed to translate the lifestyle of a beach hotel without relying on the most predictable tropical elements of the segment. After the briefing and immersion meeting, it became clear that the brand identity should dialogue with the landscape and lifestyle, as well as suggest movement and a subtle reference to the local culture. At the same time, it was necessary to communicate care, lightness, and sophistication.
Solution.
The solution was built around a logo that conveys fluidity and spontaneity. The detail in the composition was brought by the cashew nut, introducing the regional reference in an elegant way. The identity combines this more expressive gesture with clean supporting typography, minimalist compositions, and a palette inspired by the colors of the local nature.
Result.
A brand capable of connecting the Barra Grande experience with a language of well-being, comfort, and quality of life. The system maintains unity among the logo, supporting elements, colors, typography, and photography, allowing the brand to appear consistently in institutional materials, gastronomic communication, and various applications related to the hotel.
