Context.
Nordesttino’s is a bar and restaurant that combines regional and contemporary gastronomy, featuring typical dishes, signature creations, drinks, and an experience deeply marked by northeastern culture. More than just representing a specific cuisine, the brand needed to translate the joy and hospitality of the northeastern people, linking flavors, gatherings, and references from the Brazilian Northeast.
Challenge.
The main challenge was to balance the strength of Northeastern cultural codes with a contemporary language, avoiding the brand from being limited to a decorative or excessively folkloric representation of the region. The system needed to communicate warmth, spontaneity, and intensity, without losing clarity and adaptability.
Solution.
The visual direction was inspired by the landscape of the sertão as a territory of expression. The symbol combines the mandacaru cactus, the sun, and the shapes of the soil in a compact composition, while the strong-presence and relaxed typography reinforces the brand's welcoming personality. The palette gathers tones inspired by the region's vegetation, clay, sun, food, and spices. Organic textures and illustrations close to the style of woodblock printing expand the visual repertoire, allowing the identity to function beyond the symbol and adapt to environments, printed materials, packaging, digital content, and promotional communication.
Result.
The project established an expressive and flexible visual system, capable of maintaining recognition across applications of different scales and functions. The combination of warm colors, natural elements, illustrations, textures, and photography creates a consistent experience, without turning all pieces into repetitions of the same layout. Nordesttino’s now has its own language to present its space, value its cultural origin, and become a reference in regional cuisine.
